Manuchar Kvirkvelia of Georgia won the Men's Greco-Roman 74 kilogram Wrestling final by defeating Chang Yongxiang of China on August 13.
Kvirkvelia won the first period 6-0 with a throw of grand amplitude, and went on to take the second period 3-0.
Kvirkvelia won Georgia's first gold medal at the Beijing Olympics. Though defeated, Chang still grabbed the first ever Men's Wrestling Olympic medal for China.
