The WorldHockey Champions Trophy kicked off in Rotterdam,the Netherlands, on June 21. On the first day of competition, Australia defeated the Republic of Korea 5-3, while the host team beat Spain 3-1. Argentina played world champion Germany to a 2-2 draw.
