As the Olympic torch passed through Sichuan Province, its finally stop in Beijing before coming to Beijing, a level 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit the region killing three people and injuring a further 22.
There have been around 2,600 aftershocks since the 8.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Sichuan region on the 12th of May, which has killed around 70,000 people.
A tribute to the victims of the earthquake is expected to be part of the opening ceremony to be held this Friday to start the Beijing Olympics.
