The United States softball team has won every gold medal at the Olympics since the sport was introduced in 1996. Jennie Finch and Cat Osterman will head up the pitching and Crystal Bustos who scored five home runs in Athens will be competing in Beijing.
The team won the ISF Women’s World Championships in September 2006 in Beijing and the 2007 World Cup of Softball. As in any sport upsets do happen. Australia and Japan have good teams which could knock the U.S. team off of its perch.
