Bloomberg has a funny article on the preparations going on for the Beijing Olympics.
I can imagine preparing for an Olympic games is like preparing for a wedding, but on a grander scale - whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, all while the whole world is watching.
The article gives some examples such as the rats that are eating the ping-pong balls in the store-room and the podiums which athletes will receive their medals on, keep collapsing. You can just imagine three athletes all standing on the podium with their medals, listening to their country’s national anthem, only to have it collapse to pieces.
